Kellie martin is an American TV, film and stage actress. Her most well-known role is Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) as well as Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". She is also known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin was able to begin her career in acting in the age of seven, when her aunt who was the nanny of actor Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing her a role in the 1982 show "Father Murphy". Her professional career began when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of parts in both the television as well as the film industry.
